What exactly is Jesus saying through these passages and others like them? Is He saying that we can put forth any type of request with His guarantee that we will receive it? Many think so. Let’s look at what is being said about asking anything. Great news is that when Jesus spoke of “asking anything” He is telling us that we can and should bring anything and everything to Him in prayer. Nothing is “off limits”. There are some things that we feel ashamed about bringing to the Lord. There are other things we don’t bring because we are not sure about how the Lord feels about them.
