Everything for Jesus—Two2Grow, Saturday, October 3
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” Colossians 3:23 NIV
By Josephine Stenhammar
I don’t know about you, but sometimes it can feel like days just come and go. We might go to the same job, do the same chores, and life just seems to roll on. It might not always feel like we are serving God in our everyday lives.
This verse gives us hope in everyday life situations. In everything we do, we can do it for God and for His glory. Having this mindset changes everything.
The “meaningless” chores and routines become full of meaning and purpose as we do everything for God. When we do laundry, we can do it with all our heart as unto the Lord. When we drive to buy groceries, we do it for Jesus. When we go to our everyday
workplace, we work at it with all our heart for the Lord. When we take care of our kids or grandkids, it is all for Jesus. Understanding this gives me new strength and joy to face the tasks ahead of me today.
In whatever we face today, we can serve God through it, trusting that God will provide the strength.
So, let us place this day in the hands of the Lord and live it all for Jesus.
Lord Jesus, I want to give my day to You. I want to serve You in everything that is ahead of me. You know all the things that I have to do. Thank You for Your strength, joy, and reward. Amen.
