Passage: Psalm 34:8
Service Type:

Pastor Parkey heard the Lord say that the following scripture contains His heart for us for next year:

Taste and see that the LORD is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him! /// Psalm 34:8 (NLT)

Here are some additional scriptures:

“The sun shall no longer be your light by day, nor for brightness shall the moon give light to you, but the Lord will be to you an everlasting light, and your God your glory. Your sun shall no longer go down, nor shall your moon withdraw itself, for the Lord will be your everlasting light, and the days of your mourning shall be ended. Also your people shall all be righteous, they shall inherit the land forever, the branch of My planting, the work of My hands, that I may be glorified. A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation. I, the Lord, will hasten it in its time.” /// Isaiah 60:19-22

Here is what Pastor Parkey heard is the prayer/action focus for this next year:

  1. The Lord said to pray for the gathering of 1000 disciples to Capstone. The Lord said that these disciples will serve as the foundation of power from which He will accomplish His purpose through the church.
  2. The Lord said that the Strategic Prayer Plan is to begin and have at least three focuses: Government – Capstone – Abortion. We see at least three new prayer groups starting to focus on these things.
  3. The Lord said to continue to build the ministry to homeless and needy families. This will include the stabilization of the current home, the continued outreach to Las Vegas Trail in partnership with Care Center, the continued outreach to homeless led by Joe Cortez, and the establishment of a women’s home in FW. There is more to unfold in this. We’ll just have to wait and see what God does. Pastor Parkey also heard the term The Lazarus Project in association with this ministry based upon the parable of the poor man Lazarus found in Luke 16.
His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, according to his eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord. /// Ephesians 3:10-11
