After the outpouring of the 7 bowl judgments, we enter period of prophetic doctrine in which God describes to us the destruction of Babylon. In chapters 17 & 18, we see two distinct judgments upon Babylon. Chapter 17 describes the judgment of apostate religion. Chapter 18 describes the judgment of the commercial and political system of the world. Do you remember the origin of Babylon? Let’s read about it in Genesis 10:1-12 (NKJV).
