Last week, we began a series called, “The Church Rises”. In the midst of perilous times, the true church of Jesus Christ is rising to its destiny. The church is an amazing group. What does 1 Corinthians 12:12-14 tell us about the church? The Spirit put the church together. We are as diverse as possible yet unified through the baptism of the Spirit. We drink from the same river – the Spirit. What keeps us unified and focused is our thirst for the same Source. Therefore, we are a Spirit contrived and a Spirit enlivened body. In this body, we have tools that have been given us to fulfill the work of the Spirit.
