Passage: 1 Corinthians 6:12-20
Service Type:

This week with Pastor Parkey’s return we dive back in to our journey through the Bible with a stop in 1 Corinthians 6. A little background: the church at Corinth was located in Achaia – modern day Greece. Greek philosophy and thought tried to combine with Christianity in the early church. The Greek influence caused erroneous thoughts regarding the body and the soul, the physical crucifixion of Jesus, and how a person is saved. These errors caused a misunderstanding of grace. The apostle Paul quotes a phrase about grace that had been circulated by those in the church who held to these errors that we are going to look over tonight: “Everything is permissible for me.”
