The life of Jesus is a nice story but doesn’t make much sense if you don’t remember the failures of humanity. In the book of Genesis, we are told about early humanity selling out relationship with God for the possibility of being their own God. It was a scheme hatched by the ultimate “sell out” Satan and humanity’s rebellion ended up giving us control over what we had control over all along – our will. We never had control over the wind and waves or other people’s actions or attitudes in the first place. Our plan to be our own God left us with less than we had before. We were now separated from God and accountable for the rebellion we took part in. It’s time to choose life instead!
