MINISTRIES
Kids
Capstone Kids & Family Ministry // Preschool (12 weeks)–6th Grade
Capstone Kids exists to provide a loving, nurturing and safe environment in which to teach our children the importance of a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Every first Sunday, we focus on the family and our elementary kids join us for service in the sanctuary, then every fifth Sunday we host Baby Dedications, so if you have a young child you like to dedicate to the Lord, sign up by clicking here and invite your family for this special occasion.
Meets on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights during main service upstairs at Entrance C in the classroom hallway. During this time, Entrance D (playscape entrance) is closed and we ask all parents to check-in their children at Entrance C, where their temperature(s) will be checked before being admitted to class. If you have any questions or concerns, you can contact our Children’s Ministry Lead, Stephanie Williams, at swilliams@capstone.church.
Youth
Capstone Youth // 7th–12th Grade
Capstone Youth is a place where you can come and hang out with other young people who have a hunger to find out what it really means to have a relationship with God, and also develop real relationships with each other.
Meets on Wednesdays at 7pm in the Youth Room downstairs. During this time, Entrance D (playscape entrance) is closed and we ask all youth to check-in at the Kids Zone entrance in the foyer, where your temperature(s) will be checked before being admitted to Youth.
Young Adults
United For Life Young Adults // Ages 18-30ish
United is a ministry with a passion and desire to know Jesus more fully. Our hope and aspirations are to grow so closely knit that we would call each other family. Each week, childcare will be provided to allow everyone, whether married, single, with kids or without, to get involved and worship Jesus with abandon.
Meets on Sundays at 9am and on every 1st & 3rd Wednesday night at 7pm in the Green Room downstairs.
Men
Capstone Men
Here at Capstone Church, we believe that spiritually strong men are important to a healthy church! Our Men’s ministry is focused on helping men grow into the fullness of their call, always gaining momentum in their faith and fellowshipping with other men!
Currently meeting for a bible study on Mondays at 7:15pm in the Lecture Hall. Sunday morning studies may resume in January 2021.
Women
Capstone Women
Here at Capstone Church, we believe that spiritually healthy women are vital to a healthy church! Our Women’s Ministry is focused on helping ladies step into the fullness of their call to be rooted deeply in the house of God! Here are the meeting times:
Prayer
“If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, I will forgive their sin and I will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
This is not a law, it is a principle, made in the form of a “conditional promise”. God said these words, and He cannot lie. He meant what he said, and said what He meant. When we do our part, HE WILL DO HIS. Prayer is such an important part of our lives as Christians! Here at Capstone, we aim to obey God’s word and make it a priority to have meeting times available to gather and pray as groups over different things like personal requests, as well as our city, state, nation, and even those around the world! Meeting times include:
Pre-Service Prayer:
Senior Pastor Parkey Cobern leads prayer for whoever wants to join on Sunday mornings before service in the sanctuary from 9:30am – 9:45am.
Weekly Prayer Meeting Schedule:
- Daily Intercessory Prayer Meeting: Monday through Saturday, 7:00-8:00 AM, Willhite Prayer Room
- Weekly Government Prayer Meeting: Wednesday, 5:45-6:45 PM, Lecture Hall
Worship
Corporate praise and worship is more than a preliminary to preaching; it’s not a part of a program or a ritual, and it’s not a performance or a showcase of vocal or musical talent. Praise is declaring what God has done, is doing, and will do (Ephesians 6:12). We are called to demonstrate what Jesus carried out at Calvary (1 John 3:8), a demonstration that is manifested by the words we speak and by our obedience to God’s Word (Proverbs 18:21, 1 Samuel 15:22). Praise builds faith, faith creates miracles, and miracles glorify God!
Worship is our response to a holy, omnipotent God, and our corporate worship should be a natural extension of the personal relationship that we have with God when we are alone. Those that are a part of this ministry have the responsibility to lead the congregation in this special act. If you have a musical talent and feel the call to join this ministry, sign up by clicking here!
