Generational Patterns
Last week we talked about generational patterns and how we have been adopted into a new bloodline through Jesus' own blood. This week we will focus on positive generational patterns. Ready...... Let's Go!
Just like negative patterns, positive generational patterns can also be passed down through generations. These patterns include things such as:
- Wisdom
- Ability to show affection
- Fidelity
- Generosity
- Unconditional love
- Strong work ethic
- Righteous living
- Serving others
- Strong commitment to the Lord
- Loyalty
- Self-control
It is important to identify positive patterns. This can sometimes be extremely difficult, especially if we are going through a trial. As a matter of fact, if identifying positive patterns is a struggle there is a resource we can turn to for help. The LORD!
Ask the Lord to reveal to you the positive patterns that exist in your family. Be very honest with Him because He knows you better than you know yourself. Discuss any difficulties you are having identifying these patterns with Him. Once you have identified positive patterns, even if it's only one, begin thanking and praising the Lord. Guess what? An attitude of gratitude is a positive pattern!
This Week's Prayer Point:
Lord, I come before You with thanksgiving and praise. I ask for revelation about any positive patterns. Help me identify those patterns and then show me how to make them a powerful blessing. Your word says in 2 Corinthians 5:17 that if anyone is in Christ they are a new creation. The old has passed away. Ephesians 1:17 says to keep asking that You would give me wisdom and revelation to know You better. Here I am Lord, asking for revelation and I praise Your holy name for all You're doing in me. In Jesus mighty name, AMEN.
