Whose Fool Are You?— Two2Grow, Thursday, November 5
“We are fools for Christ.” 1 Corinthians 4:10 NIV
I really liked a sign that said, “I am a fool for Christ. Whose fool are you?”
Jesus calls us to follow Him in total surrender and to trust Him completely. When we respond to that call, we will at times make decisions and act in ways that go totally contrary to what this fallen world thinks is wise and smart. The fallen world wants us to act in ways considered “normal”—to not break the accepted pattern or rock the boat. But we can’t let fear of man hinder us from following Jesus and sharing the good news of the gospel.
Some Christians never fulfill their divine assignment because they are afraid of looking foolish. Let that not be us! Like Paul, let us live so sold-out for Christ that we are ready to be considered fools for Christ.
Jesus, I want to follow You with all I have. Give me the courage to obey You, even when it looks foolish to this fallen world.
