Jesus Breaks the Yoke— Two2Grow, Tuesday, November 3

“Now I will break their yoke from your neck and tear your shackles away.” Nahum 1:13 NIV
Responsibilities can feel like yokes on our shoulders. Providing for a family, being a student trying to make good grades, running a business or being in charge of employees, taking care of elderly parents, or simply taking responsibility for being an adult—it can all feel like heavy yokes that weigh us down and take away our joy and peace. When our shoulders are burdened, our heads tilt toward the ground, and we lose our vision. The playfulness and excitement of life begin to ebb away.
We start to live from day to day, or even from hour to hour, just trying to survive and not make a mess of things.
This is where Jesus wants to step in. He is our Savior, the One who rescues us from every yoke of slavery. Turn to Him and let Him carry your burdens. He has the strength to do it, and when He does, you can live with your head held high, praising Him for His goodness and care.
Jesus, today I come to You with my burdens. Step in with Your power in my life. Be my Savior and set me free from the yokes that burden me. (Name them.)
