I Trust You—Two2Grow, Monday, October 5
“In you, Lord my God, I put my trust.” Psalm 25:1 NIV

Trusting God is more than worship on Sunday—it is a way of life. To live by faith is to continually and intentionally direct our hope to God.

The little phrase “I trust you” has brought me through many difficult situations and has turned problems into praise. I’ve learned that when my mind drifts off to dwell on troubles or problems, instead of letting them overwhelm me, I say or think aloud, “I trust you.” Just last night, before going to sleep, a problem popped up in my mind that bothered me, and I just prayed, “I trust you.”

The moment you express your faith in God like that, there is a wonderful peace that fills your heart. You know that the problem is in God’s hands and not yours. That peace might not last long, though, before your mind is back on the problem again. The bigger the problem, the more often you have to keep expressing your faith. And then you once again choose to put your trust in God. It is a battle of faith, but keep at it and don’t give up.

Whenever the devil wants to get you into fear over something, say or think this in faith: “I refuse to fear. I put my trust in God.” If you have to listen to or read a bad report, under your breath, just keep whispering, “I trust you.” God will honor your faith in Him. You will see His power at work.

Father, today I choose to believe you. [Think about or name your problems and say:] I trust you. I believe you are working all things together for my good and your glory. Amen.
