Unstoppable Love— Two2Grow, Friday, September 25
“There is nothing in all creation that will ever be able to separate us from the love of God which is ours through Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:39 GNB
The love of people often disappoints. Even the most loving person will fail us at some point or another. But God’s love toward us is ever constant and unchanging.
No matter what we are going through today, God’s tender mercies and desire for our eternal welfare are flowing unhindered toward us.
Today’s verse tells us that there is nothing—no power in hell or circumstance on earth—that can hinder the flow of God’s love toward us.
Not only is God’s love unstoppable, is also light-years more powerful than human concern because God’s love is not just comforting and consoling; God’s love is the creative power of the Holy Spirit.
Stop for a moment and ponder the amazing reality of today’s Bible verse. Take a breath and think about the fact that God’s loving attention is set on you right at this moment; His face is turned toward you to bring you wholeness, peace, health, strength, direction, and provision.
Think about the struggles you are facing today. Maybe you have a medical issue, an unpaid bill, a relational challenge, a problem at work, or a spiritual struggle. Imagine that they are in front of you and tell them, “You cannot separate me from the love of God.” Now go and think and act as though God’s love is the ultimate reality.
Father, thank You for loving me to the point that You sent Your Son to die for me. Open my heart to receive more of Your love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
