The God of Our Future— Two2Grow, Wednesday, July 22
"Only I can tell you the future before it even happens. Everything I plan will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish." Isaiah 46:10 NLT
Life is full of waiting for answers that will affect our future.
You or a loved one may have taken a medical exam, and you are anxiously waiting to hear what the doctors will say. Or, as a student, you are waiting for the results of a test. Or you're waiting to hear back about a mortgage application or a job application. Or you're waiting for your boyfriend or girlfriend to answer whether they want to marry you.
Waiting in uncertainty isn't fun and can drain our energy and joy. In such times, we need to remind ourselves that we are not doing life alone—God is with us in the waiting. He might be quiet, but He is present.
But more than present, God is already in our future!
So, no matter what the answer may be, we can rest in faith because God is never taken by surprise—not even by a bad report.
The Holy Spirit has already worked out a solution to whatever problem we will face.
So, take a deep belly breath and say, "Lord, I trust You. You are in my future, and whatever happens, I know that You are in control and have a plan, and You will never let me down."
